Going in the wrong direction ...
 I get this funny feeling that with all this technology and research being done in various fields, as man continues to search for the ultimate answers to the question of "Why, how and what" .. that perhaps they are looking in the wrong direction and seeking for the answers in places that will not give them the complete TRUTH. (crap, I think I already blogged about this) I mean, isn't the answer already within us? Then again, why shouldn't man take the long route? Historically, man has always chosen the hardest route (thinking it was the easiest) just to arrive to the conclusion that what was thought of as TRUTH was in fact not true at all - Facts become facts for the present .. then somewhere in the future, those facts no longer stand. Yeah yeah yeah, some of you will say, "but hey, these advancements in technology and research have helped mankind greatly!" I agree. I also will say this, for every advancement man has ever made he has also acted in such a way using these advancements to destroy some aspect of a freedom, abuse a perceived power or remove a right. It's a double edged sword that mankind has created for themselves. Truly a double edged sword. This sword has stabbed at the very fabric and integrity of LIFE, many a time. MY OPINION.

Coming out of the HOLE ....
 Dear friends, I understand that everyone has been experiencing their own 'hole' per se, and some of us have managed to get out sooner, some are still climbing out and others still want to stay. We must remind one another that even though it feels safe and warm to stay in the dark, within the walls we are so familiar with .. it is far better to be out. I also understand that outside of the 'hole', the LIGHT may be too bright and often hurts our eyes. The brightness can certainly be blinding. But dear friends, all you need to do is to reach out and there will be one of us to take your hand and guide you thru. For there are those that have been longer in the LIGHT, who have grown accustomed to the brightness and have adjusted their eyes ... to see. Will you do this? Will you come out of your 'hole' to meet the rest of us that are waiting for you? It's still a long journey and the end is no where to be seen, but at least it is better to continue onward in the LIGHT. I am sending an INTENTIONAL WAVE of Love out to all of you. All you need to do is BE. If you somehow are able to sense it, please, send another WAVE of Love out into the world. IT IS IN OUR POWER TO HEAL.

I am VAIN and SELF POSSSESSED.
I was doing my usual online reading and came across an interesting article on the BBC NEWS Magazine March 7, 2006. What interested me more were the comments that followed the article. Of course, I had to put my two cents worth. "The age of Technology has entered a paradigm shift once the internet has been made accessible to the public, (or anyone who has access to a computer or handheld wireless device).
These new emerging technologies make it easier for humans to interact with one another in ways that were not possible a decade ago. Some people see it as being detrimental to the very fabric of society and civilization as a whole. The TRUTH is, it's here to stay and it will continue to affect the way we live and work and play.
MYSPACE, like many other social internet sites was an inevitable conception. The standard for human communication is being rewritten as I type.
A very wise man once said, "Technology is a good servant and a bad master. What we do with them is the crucial question."
Like the strangers and dangers that a child may face on his walk to school or home, unfortunately, the same dangers lurk on the internet, however, it takes a lot more effort and time for a person to lure a youngster to them on the internet than it does a stranger with a car by the roadside. Parents and schools and society need to educate the young on safe internet usage - just like you would tell your kids that smoking, drugs, sex, and skipping school is not advisable. Those acts are still being done, without the help of the internet.
As for MYSPACE and other social networking sites and blogs, fostering a place for the self possessed and vain? Hmmmm. Perhaps. But this needs to be used as a general term.
As for people over the age of 29 needing to delete their sites? I THINK NOT! I am 42 years old, have been a nurse for over 10 years and prior to that in marketing/advertising and whatever degree of vanity or self-possessed qualities I may have, the amount of networking and quality of networking and speed of networking that the internet and these sites provide is unimaginable to the close minded who have not been able to embrace this NEW AGE of Communication.
I have met ONLINE, many creative, intelligent, compassionate and well read people from all over the world and from all walks of life and I am so thankful for the opportunity in being able to get to know these people who have in many ways enriched my life.
Yes! That is correct.
I have never met many of these people but thru email, blog reading and chat rooms have gotten to know them more than my own family. What is it that they say? Like minds attract? And this internet highway is making it so much easier for people of 'like minds' to connect.
Change is inevitable people, and there will always be elements of good and bad. The choice is up to the individual on how he/she wants to conduct themselves during the process.If you're not WIRED, you're not CONNECTED!
